Before enrolling in The Speaker Lab’s Elite program I knew that for me to live out my purpose in the best fashion I needed to focus on speaking more. I have experience speaking, but I needed a rinse and repeat system for getting and booked and paid gigs consistently.
I also knew I had to stop being afraid. If I was going to do this as a career, I had to come face-to-face with the potential struggle and embrace the work and due diligence it would take to grow my speaking business.
I quickly realized The Speaker Lab was the best fit for what I needed. Other programs were more focused on helping people become better speakers — The Speaker Lab does this but also guides students through all the different facets of starting and building a speaking business.
I’m all about setting goals and I knew that in order to accomplish my goals I needed a coach. The Speaker Lab provides one-on-one coaching and experienced individuals who can help you grow from your positions of strength.
One thing I recognized that I needed to learn was the ABCs and 123s of running a speaking business. I had to get up to speed on the processes that would make all of this work.
The biggest payoff of going through The Speaker Lab program was establishing a process. For example – HubSpot – it’s my go-to! As a speaker I’m reaching out to so many different people and need to prioritize my communication and the relationships which help me book gigs. Because of The Speaker Lab I have a process in place and the belief in myself that I can actually do this and make an impact.
Today, I use the framework TSL has trained and coached me through and I am getting booked and paid consistently. In fact, my calendar is getting more and more full for the upcoming year. And, I am happy to report my last gig was over $9k.
